Welcome to the official site of the Southwest Region Association for Research
and Enlightenment (A.R.E.©),
established April 1989 to serve the membership in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma,
Arkansas, and the Southern portions of Kansas, Missouri, and New Mexico. The
membership is fostered at the local level with a quarterly newsletter, study
groups, a prayer network, and
retreats and youth outreach programs. The Region is served by an

Facts about
the Southwest Region The A.R.E. located in Virginia Beach, VA is the
international headquarters for the work of
Edgar Cayce
(1877-1945), considered the Father of Holistic Medicine, and the most documented
psychic in the 20th Century with over 14,000 readings housed online. Founded in
1931, the A.R.E. consists of people from all walks of life and spiritual
traditions that have found meaningful and life transformative insights from the
psychic readings of Edgar Cayce.
In addition to local regional activities, the
A.R.E.
Headquarters offers membership benefits
and services, a bi-monthly magazine, a newsletter, publications, excerpts from
the Cayce readings, conferences, international tours, a massage school
curriculum, a retreat type camp for children and adults as well as A.R.E.
contacts around the world. The A.R.E. also maintains an affiliation with
Atlantic University, offering a Master's Program in Transpersonal Studies.
